CONDEMNED BY A COACH “ FRANKENSTEIN. MONSTER.” , ’ PORT OF SPAIN (Trinidad). March 12. (Received March 13, at 10 p.m.) A. J. Richardson, who is now coaching here, writing in the Sunday Guardian, slashingly attacks bodyline bowling, which he describes as deliberate bowling at the batsman’s head and invented by the Englishmen to defeat Bradman. Ho appealed to. West Indies cricket players to prohibit this “ Frankenstein monster,” expressing the opinion that its continued use would mean ruin for Empire cricketing friendship.
