THE TASHI LAMA
RETURNING TO TIBET CALCUTTA, March 5. The Taßhi Lama, the spiritual ruler of Tibet, who during the past 10 years has taken refuge in China owing to differences with the late Dalai Lama, will shortly return to Lhasa at the invitation of the General Council. The late Dalai Lama assented to the Tashi Lama's return three weeks before his death.
