RESCUED BY PLANE
CASTAWAYS ON ICEFLOE MANY STILL MAROONED (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) MOSCOW, March 5. The airman Lapidevsk • rescued 20 women and two children who were marooned on an icefloe after the wreck of the Cheluskin on February 14. There arc still over 83 of the crew left on the floe. Aeroplanes and. steamers rescued practically, all of the 400 fishermen who were marooned on the icefloes in the Caspian Sea, including three who had been afloat for a month. Eighty-four are still stranded, but it is expected that they will be rescued in a few days.
