RUGBY, March 6. ■ (Received March 6, at 5.5 p.m.) Sir; Samuel Hoare (Secretary Vor India), replying to a question in the House ot Commons with regard.to reconstructive works in- process in relation to the recent earthquake in India, said that a comprehensive plan had been worked out by the Government of India and the. Government of Bihar in.consultation, covering reconstruction of Government buildings, financial assistance to local authorities, and relief to private sufferers.' A special commissioner had been appointed by, the Bihar Government, and with financial assistance-given from the central revenues, he had no doubt that the work of reconstruction would be vigorously taken up.
