IRRIGATION MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
OMAKAU BODY'S MEETING.
A general meeting of the members of the Omakau Irrigation Medical Association was held at the Falls dam, Oturehua, on March 3. Amongst the matters discussed was the question of obtaining financial assistance from the Government for the transport of all injured workmen to the I doctor at Lauder and to the hospitals in the Maniototo and Vincent Counties. A ! fully signed petition, asking for financial assistance, had been sent to Parliament, I but the association had been informed i that owing to pressure of other business, the petition had been held over until i next session. .■.=;'. , The election of officers resulted as follows:—Secretary, Mr J. Hill; treasurer, Mr F Diver; committee—Messrs W. R. Amos, C. Farley, E. T. Exton, A. Scoles, H. Crack, W. R. Cranstoun. . ;■_; The medical adviser is Dr D. N. M. Scrymgeour, of Lauder.
