STRIKE AT CHATHAMS
FISH CARGO THROWN OVERBOARD. -v
(Per United Press Association.)' CHRISTCHURCH, March 5. A strike among \t)ie fishermen fishing for the trawler South Sea at the Chathams is reported as! the result of the men seeking an increase in the price of fish from 3<l a lb to- Id. It is alleged, according to reports by the steamer Tees, that four new fishermen who began work for the trawler were prevented from fishing by the strikers, who throw their catch overboard, and that the men in the South Sea had to seek protection from the constable at Waitangi.
