ROWING
(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 5,
Mr A. D. Bayfield, hon. secretary of the New Zealand Rowing Association, who returned from Australia to-day, anticipates that New Zealand oarsmen will be invited to compete at the Melbourne centenary celebrations. It is possible that a team from England will also take part. He did not see much of the rowing officials while he was away, but was impressed with the interest taken in rowing in the secondary schools, which constituted a fine nursery that was lacking in New Zealand.
