RIFLE SHOOTING
KIWI DEFENCE CLUB. .The first competition of No. 5 Match was fired by members of the Kiwi Defence Rifle Club on Saturday afternoon. Seven shots and two optional signiere were fired at 300, 500, and GOO yard*. Although the weather was showery, iome very good scores were made, notably by Rifleman R, Gillick, who made the iirtt century of the season—an excellent performance. _ ■ The following, are the scisms, including handicaps:—
