(Received March 3, at 6.30 p.m.) Accidentally struck on the head by a 151 b shot, which was thrown by a competitor at a sports meeting, Frank Perske, aged 50, was fatally injured. Perske was bending down, measuring the distance of a shot thrown by a competitor, when another competitor hurled the shot. Perske was too preoccupied and failed to hear the warning cries. The shot struck him on the back of the head. «
