In conjunction with ' the Sullivan Memorial Match,- the annual fixture between Kaituna and Mornington was played for the cup presented by Messrs Thomson and E. J. Smith. Before commencing the match the president of the Kaituna Club (Mr Ripley) commented on the fittingness of having a memorial match in honour of Mr A. J. Sullivan, whose work in the interest of bowling 1 bad been of very great value. He also welcomed the Mornington players, assuring them that if they proved to be the victors the cup would be handed over with the' heartiest cpngratulatipna of Kaituna.,.The president of the Mornington Club (Mr Osborn) thanked Mr Ripley for his welcome,-and stated that, irrespective of winning the cup, he-felt sure they would have a good game. At. the close of the day's play it was found that Mornington had won. Oil both greens "by 10 points. Mr ! Ripley Banded over the cup to Mr Osborn, intimating that his club hoped it would be held by Mornington for one year only.; Mr Osborn expressed his pleasure at winding the cup, stating that all care would be taken of it, both this year and, they hoped, in succeeding years.- .. Unfortunately, the weather conditions marred the completion of the fixture, as the games on the Balmacewen green had to be abandoned owing to heavy rain. Those playing on the
