The annual cricket match between the Wanganui Collegiate School and the Wellington College was commenced this morning in perfect weather. The wicket was fiery and the outfield very fast. Wellington won the toss and were all dismissed for 75, of which Lees made 27, Steels 13, and Quirk 10. Meuli took six wickets for nine runs and Renshaw three for 25. Wanganui Collegiate replied with 208 for the losg of eight wickets when stumps were drawn, A. F. Harding being unbeaten with 122, while D. R. Orton, with 2D, had the next best scor#.
