YOUNG HELPERS’ LEAGUE

ANNUAL PARTY AT MOS6IEL. A delightful party for the girls and boys who collect during the year for Dr Barnardo’s Homes was held-in the grounds of the Presbyterian manse .last, Friday afternoon. Afternoon tea was served, and amongst those present were the following officers and friends of the league:—Mrs W, T, .0. Kaye (president),- Miss MacDonald (secretary), Miss Crawford, Mrs and Misg M. Shaw, Mrs W/Kirk, Mrs J. Aitken, Mrs Currie, Mrs Gordon, and Miss Jackson. It' was, announced that ft suifi exceeding £7 had been raised during the year, and Eric Gordon earned a present of a knife for being the best contributor for six years. Others earned badges for three _ years’ collecting. A treasure hunt was indulged in which was much en-’ joyed by the children, and a programme of races-was Carried oilt. Three amusing races were the Girls’ Hopping Race', the Wheelbarrow Race, and the Crab Race. Mrs Graham was hostess, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to her on behalf of the league. " ,
