A CHANGE OF STATUS
THE NEWFOUNDLAND MUDDLE RECOMMENDATION APPROVED. ST. JOHN (Newfoundland), November 29. . (Received Nov. 30, at 8 p.m.) The Legislative Council to-night unanimously passed the resolution from the Lower Chamber approving of the Royal Commission’s recommendation for relinquishing the rights of a dominion and submitting to government by commission until the island was again eplfsupporting. A message will be despatched to his Majesty asking that the Amulree Commission’s recommendations be implemented, and it is understood that the United Kingdom Parliament will adjust the island’s financial difficulties without delay. - .
