MOTOR BOAT SPEED
WORLD’S RECORD BROKEN AGAINST TIDE AND WIND. LONDON, November 16. In Southampton Water Hubert ScottPaine established a new world’s record for the fastest speed on salt water for a single-engined motor boat. Driving Miss Britain 111 he reached an average speed of 100.132 miles per hour. The fastest run was 102.105 miles per hoar. The record was achieved against the tide and wind.
