FUTILITY OF STRIKES
AMERICA’S SORRY RECORD HUNDREDS ALREADY THIS YEAR. NEW YORK. November 16. (Received Nov. 17, at 11.30 p.m.) The National Association of Manufacturers announced that 1630 strikes occurred in the United States in the first ten months of the year, 588,000 workers being involved. There were 1100 strikes during the last four months. The wage loss was 24,000,000 dollars, the time lost amounted to 7,000,000 working days, and the employers lost 6,500,000 dollars. The total loss for four months approximated 30.000,000 dollars.
