ITALY’S LATEST FIGURES INCREASE SINCE SEPTEMBER. ROME, November 16. While Britain’s unemployment is steadily declining, Italy’s has risen to 062,868, compared with 907,463 at the end of September. THE POSITION IN AMERICA. NUMBERS DWINDLING. WASHINGTON, November 10. (Received Nov. 17, at 8.30 p.m.) The Secretary of Labour (Miss Frances Perkins) reported to-day that 85,000 workers received jobs and 6,000,000 dollars were added to the weekly payrolls during October according to a survey of 89 manufacturing and 10 nonmanufacturing industries. Since March over 2,800,000 workers have returned to employment, with an addition of over 3,000,000,000 dollars added to the payrolls within the seven-month period.
