GOLDEN WEDDING
PRESENTATION TO MR AND MRS E. CAMERON I ; ' : y Upwards of 50 friends from First Churcli visited Mr and Mrs E. Cameron, in York place, yesterday afternoon to convey their good wishes-.on the occasion of their golden wedding. Mrs Peter Dick, on behalf of the company, made a presentation of a , handsome > handbag, suitably inscribed, and a gold peiicil case., and remarked on the very cordial relations which had existed between Mr and Mrs Cameron and First Church. The Rev. W. Allen -Stevely also spoke of the many years of service which both Mr and Mrs Cameron had given to First Church, and to the Presbyterian Church in general, and conveyed hearty greetings on the cocasion from the officebearers and the congregation. .Mrs Nicholson spoke of her intimate friendship with the couple, and also congratulated them on their long and happy married life.
Afternoon tea was served by the ladies, and a time of happy fellowship and reminiscence was spent. Mr and Mrs Cameron will leave on Tuesday to spend some weeks with their son in Levin.
