GIANT BOAR HOUND
AN ATTRACTION AT THE SHOW. Big Ben, a huge Russian boar hound, which will be on exhibition at the Dunedin show, is a descendant of the, giant dogs that were attached to the mountain gun section of the Russian Army. They were used to pull mountain guns over hills and through forests where horses could not go. Big Ben is claimed to be bigger than a pony, Spotted like a leopard, and as docile as a lamb. Any child coming to see him may have a free ride.
