MUSSELBURGH SCHOOL COMMITTEE
The monthly meeting of the Musselburgh School Committee was held oh Tuesday evening. A notification was received from the Education Board, informing the coliimittee that Mr Armstrong had been ar>-, pointed first assistant, and that he would commence.his duties on February 1 1, 1934. The Visiting Committee reported that everything va b going on satisfactorily at the school, that the new . doors wore very convenient, and that the new tables and chairs installed in Standard VI room were a decided improvement on the old ones. The headmaster reported enrolling 28 new pupils, 21 of whom were beginners. Four pupils had left owing to removal from the district. The average attendance during the month had been up to the usual standard. Messrs Penfold and Russell were appointed visitors for the month.
