“THE NEW REVEILLE”

The colour and variety of “ The New Reveille ” are still attracting large audiences to His Majesty’s Theatre, where the excellent show that is being staged by these local young people is creating considerable enthusiasm. The performers number 260 in all, and for tw« and a-half. hours they present a varied selection of ballets and song scenas, interspersed With bright comedy sketches and novel specialty numbers. A considerable ainount of success of the show is due to the effective stage settings, which are really out of the ordinary, and the music provided by Mr Arthur j Frost and his orchestra is one. of the features of the programme. One of the most attractive ballets is “The Scarecrow,” which is novel in the extreme,- while others that have found favour are “ The Dance of the Flames,” “ The Girl in the Little Green, Hat,” “ Shuffle Off to Buffalo,” and “ When Your Hair Has Turned to Silver.” Several very entertaining male impersonations are provided by Miss Penny Marshall, and Miss Daphne Murdoch is seen in'one or two specialty dance numbers, while those prominent in the sketches are Miss Dorothy Secular, Miss Sylvia Alexander, Miss Dessa Stabb, Mr Ewing Stephenson' and Mr' E, Coughey. The . solo, singers ; include -s£r -E., Ottrey, Miss Margaret Murray, Miss Penny Marshall, Miss Tui Salt, Miss Anita Winkel, and Miss Bertha Barker.
