ROUGH TACTICS EMPLOYED
INTERVENTION OF POLICE,

Rough tactics characterised the wrestling contest between Hal Rumberg and Jack Patterson in the Town Hall last night. The bout ended in the fifth round with the intervention of the police and the disqualification of Patterson, who refused to release a stranglehold on Rumberg. In the third round Patterson secured a fall with a and in the next session Rumberg evened‘after a series of flying tackles.
WALKER DEFEATS PATTERSON.

WANGANUI, September 21. Walker beat Patterson here to-night by two falls to one. The bout went to the fifth round, but Walker could have finished it earlier. Walker gained a fall in the second round, Patterson an easy fall in.the third, and Walker backslammed bis opponent in the fifth.
