DUNEDIN BURNS CLUB
MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Burns Club was held in the Early Settlers’ Hall Inst night, the president (Mr A. Love) in the chair. There was an unusually large attendance of members and friends, and in extending a welcome to those present, the chairman expressed pleasure that such keen interest was being maintained in the activities of the club.
The programme, which was arranged by Mr A. Walmsley, was os follows: Messrs A. Betting, Hector M‘Kay, R. C. M'Faiiane, W. Finnie, G. M’Kinlay, A. Walmsley, Misses D. Mac Kay, E. Clare, A. Pollock, M. Tuckwcll and Mrs Morgan (songs); Misses P. and E. Clare (duet); Miss Ethel Wallace (violin solo); Miss Leonore MTvenzie and Mr H. Russell (humorous recitations) ; Piper G. Crichton (bagpipe selection). The choir, under the baton. of Mr P. C. Cooper, rendered several part songs with admirable balance.
Mrs A. Walmsley and Miss E. Wright acted as accompanists.
