OPIUM SMOKING
FINES OF £l3O IMPOSED. (Per United Press Association.) .WELLINGTON. September 20. Fines totalling £l3O were imposed on the six Chinese who were arrested as the result of a raid on premises in Plaining street last night. The penalties included a fine of £OO on Ah Wong for permitting the premises to bo used for opium smoking and £lO for obstructing the police.
