POWER BOARD RATE
SPECIAL LEVY ON CITY AREA INJUNCTION TO BE SOUGHT. (Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., September 12. Following the action of the ManawntuOroua Power Board yesterday in confirming the striking of a special rate of seven-twentieths of a penny in the pound over the Palmerston North city area, instructions have been issued by the City Council to the municipal solicitors to seen an injunction restraining the board, immediate notice is being given of the issue of the writ, and after a month has elapsed, in conformity with the statutory procedure, an application will be filed lor an injunction, and the matter will he heard at the next sitting of the Supreme Court here.
