DOCTOR FOUND HANGING (Per United Press Association.) BLENHEIM, September 7. About 2.30 p.m. to-day the body of Dr Edward William Smyth, aged about 66 years, who had been practising at Seddon for six or eight months, was found hanging from a rafter in the washhouse of his residence. The deceased, who had been very depressed lately, came here from Wellington. LINESMAN ELECTROCUTED (Per United Press Association.) TIMARU, September 17. A borough electrical linesman, Philip Gosney, aged 47, married, with 10 children, met his death to-day while, working on power lines. The deceased was engaged tapping the wires on an old pole and a new one when he touched a live wire and fell to the ground, a distance of 20 feet. INJURIES TO HEAD George Brown, aged 19 years, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday morning suffering from injuries to the head and abrasions. The injuries were caused when a wheel of the bicycle he was riding became wedged in the tram rails nt the corner of Arthur and Rattray streets, the sudden stop causing him to be thrown heavily on the road. He resides at No. 7 Hereford street, Roslyn.
