Four women, representing the Warwick and Leamington constituency, recently won the silver cup presented by Eady Falmouth and Lady Iveagh, in the National Speakers’ Competition for amateur Conservative orators. The second place was given to a Peterborough team, and the third to a team from West Islington. The finals of the competition were hold at Caxton Hall, Westminster, throughout the day. Twelve teams that had survived the area competitions competed. Some 2000 people from all over the country- bad . entered for the competition. They came from over 100 constituencies.
