At the fortnightly meeting of Court Pride of the Leith C.R. Bro. G. C. Morgan occupied the chair. The District Executive forwarded particulars of the celebrations of the centenary of the Order, which will take place next year. The four senior officers were deputed to attend officially at the twenty-sixth anniversary of Court King Edward’s Pride. P.C.K. Bro. A. W, Jones reported on behalf of the sub-committee the arrangements which had been completed to celebrate the sixtyninth anniversary of the court, and the committee was thanked for its services. The,officers were appointed to take charge of the anniversary celebrations. P.C.K. Bro. A. C. Skinner reported on his recent visit to Court Molyneux, and conveyed greetings from that court. One new member was admitted with the usual ceremonies. The members of the juvenile court attached to Court Pride of the Leith were admitted and welcomed by the C.R. The youthful members were entertained by the adults, and participated in various games and competitions. The C.R. of Court Pride of the Valley, Bro. W. J. Merger, returned thanks for the enjoyable evening the juveniles had spent with their parent court.

At the fortnightly meeting of Court Bruce C.R. Sister M. H. Read presided over a fair attendance of members. The district secretary notified the conditions relating to the James Manfie Memorial Scholarship prize, which is open for competition in Otago and Southland to memberg and children of members. _ The following officers, elected at a previous meeting, were installed into their new offices by P.C.R.’s Bros. J. Begg and W, Kennedy:—Sister M. J. Mulrine, S.W., and Sister A. J. Hall, J.B. The vacancies were caused by the resignation of the J.W. The half-yearly balance sheet; was submitted by the auditor, P.C.R. Bro. J. Begg, who congratulated the court on its good progress. The finances were in a very healthy condition, and the membership had maintained its previous strength, despite the prevailing conditions. The sickness for the period had been very heavy. Great assistance had been given to' unemployed members by having their contributions paid from the district benevolent fund, and relief had also been granted to some members in distressed circumstances. A tribute was paid to the excellent services given to the-court and the district by the secretary, Bro. M. E. Paul, and treasurer, Bro. G. W. Sidon. who returned thanks for the complimentary remarks. C.S. Bro. Paul reported on the business transacted at the annual meeting of the S.O.F.S. Hospital Council. P.C.R. Bro. ,F. Read submitted a statement in connection with the court’s sixtyeighth anniversary social. A rearrangement of the social syllabus was made by the Social Committee, to provide for a musical evening, the final of the series of monthly euchre tournaments, and a complimentary night to the older members and past officers. . At the fortnightly meeting of Court Saint Andrews there was a full attendance of officers and a large gathering of members. It was the P.C.R.’s evening, and the officers vacated the chairs, which were then filled as follows: —C.R., P.D.C.R. Bro. W. Wright; 1.P.C.R., P.C.R. Sis. M Borland: S.W.. P.C.R. Bro. R. Leyland; J.W., P.C.R. Bro. A. Nicol; S. P.C.R. Sis. M. N. M'Keich; J. 8.. P.C.R. Bro. J. Smith. Correspondence was received from the district secretary relating to the centenary of the Order to be celebrated next year. An invitation for four members to attend the anniversary of Court King Edward’s Pride was accepted. It was decided that a photograph be secured of the officers and members to commemorate the winning by the court of the shield and cup for increase in membership last year. During the evening two new members were initiated by the past officers, and two nominations were received. At the conclusion of the meeting, progressive euchre was played, the prize-winners being Sis. C. E. Johnson and Sis. I. I). Mac Lean. Court Pride of Green Islands meeting was presided over by P.C.R. Bro. E. Treeman. The district secretary notified the new conditions governing the competitions for the Janies Macfie Memorial Scholarship Prize. The invitation from Court King Edward’s Pride for four members to attend its anniversary social was accepted. The S.C.R., Bro. M Phail, reported on the official visit to Court Bruce, ft Milton, and stated that the members had had a very enjoyable function. One new member was initiated. Court Pride of Gore held its fortnightly meeting on Thursday, when C.R. Bro. A. T. Newman occupied the chair. a here was a good attendance of members present. A considerable amount of correspondence was dealt with, and an invitation was accepted from Court Star of Gore, Juveniles, to attend its anniversary. The court decided to extend an invitation to the members of the Rachel Rebekah Lodge to a social evening on next meeting night. One nomination for membership was accepted. Following the business meeting, the sisters were entertained by the brothers. An enjoyable time was spent in dancing, games, and competitions, the music being supplied by Bro. Walker. A dialogue was rendered by Bros. Horn, M’Ara, and Steans.
