AGED OWNER'S VAIN FIGHT. The historic Sprowston ' windmill on Household Heath, P near Norwici whcb was made famous by "Old Crome, the St?and George Borrow, was destroyed by fire on March 23. The mill was generally recognised as the subject of one of the finest paintings [the National Gallery by Crome:. while Borrow in "Lavengro," referring to Mousehold Heath, wrote: "Life is sweet brother. . . . There's likewise the wind on the heath." Mr Harrison, the aged owner, made a desperate attempt to save the mill which was one pi the last of the old post mills.
