SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 5. The South Island Live Pigeon Shooting Championship was held on Saturday afternoon at Leeston, the shoot consisting of 21 birds off 28 yards. Results:—A. N. Tanner (Christchurch) 21 birds, 1; M. Anderson (Rotherham) 19, 2; R. S. Taylor (Christchurch) 18, 3. METHVEN GUN CLUB. (Per United Press Association.) ASHBURTON, August 5. The Methven Gun Club’s live pigeon match for a stake of £SO attracted 22 entries. S. H. Anderson, J. G. Watkins, A. N. Turner, L. C. Lemon and J, T. Corbett, with 10 kills each, divided the prize.
