THE CHIEF SCOUT

A FAINTING ATTACK QUICK RECOVERY AFTER REST. BUDAPEST, August 3. At the Girl Guides’ Day at the jamboree Lord Baden-Powell reviewed a big contingent of girls, including a number of Orientals. While inspecting the girls’ camp in the park of the Hungarian High School for Gymnastics Lord Baden-Powell, who is 76 years of age, had a fainting attack. He was taken to the neighbouring castle of the Regent (Admiral Horthy), where he rested for a few hours, then returned to watch the Boy Scouts’ sports. “These strenuous festivities are- a bit too much for me,” explained the Chief Scout.
