THE FINAL RITES

FUNERAL OF MR J. M‘COMBS (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 4. Eloquent of the grief felt at the passing of one who had borne much of the heat and burden of the Labour movement for many years the comrades of Mr James M'Combs stood with bowed heads at the graveside of the Waimairi Cemetery this morning ns his remains were lowered to their resting place alongside his mother. It was a simple service, attended only by close personal friends, relatives, and former comrades, the funeral being private. An impressive service was conducted at St. John's Anglican Church at Woolston.
