TOO MUCH MONEY
INDULGENCE LEADS TO COURT FRAUD CHARGES ADMITTED. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 4. Ronald Keir Duncan, aged 27, a salesman, pleaded guilty before the magistrate, Mr E. D. Mosley, to several charges of obtaining credit by,fraud, and was remanded to August 10 for sentence. According to the probation officer’s report, the accused, who was an only child, had been indulged in by his widowed mother, and had once spent £3BOO in 12 months. Counsel said that the accused had been a personal worry, and had been taking too much liquor. The magistrate: A man who spends £3BOO in 12 months —ridiculous. His one trouble is that he was spoiled in his youth, and when he came of age he had too much money.
