The Pakeha, which left Wellington on June 14 for London, via Montevideo, arrived at London on the morning of July 30. ROTORUA LEAVES COLON. The Rotorua, which sailed from Wellington on July 7 for London, left Colon on the morn.ing of July 80. CORNWALL LEAVES LAS PALMAS. The Cornwall, which sailed from Wellington on June 27, left Las Palmas on July 30 for London and West Coast ports. RANGITANB AT AUCKLAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company's motor liner Rangltane arrived at Auckland on Wednesday night from London. In addition to passengers the vessel brought 1000 bags of mall for New Zealand. The cargo will be unloaded at Auckland and Wellington. PORT HOBART LOADS PRODUCTS. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s motor ship Port Hobart arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday morning from Tlmaru. She was berthed at the George street wharf to load frozen meat and other products for England. The vessel sailed last evening for Bluff, thence Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading. She Is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on August 12 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow, via Panama. DANISH TRAINING SHIP. The new Danish training ship Danmark, which has now been delivered from the Nakskov Skibsvaerft, is an interesting example of modern sailing ship construction. She Is a steel built full-rigged ship, the mainmast being 118 feet high. Her principal dimensions are 210 feet length overall, 33 feet 4 inches beam, and 20 feet moulded depth, and the hull has a continuous double bottom. Accommodation Is provided In the orlop deck for 120 cadets. The captain and mates arc housed In the poop, with a roomy saloon right aft, while a deckhouse Immediately above contains the chartroom and the wireless equipment. The navigation bridge Is placed amidships, and the main steering gear Is on the forward end of the poop. The auxiliary propulsion is from a Frlcbs Diesel engine developing about 250 l.h.p. The ship Is fitted throughout with electric light, and the fo’c’s’le windlass Is electrically driven. Her sails, ft may be noted, are made of British canvas.
