THE RELIEF DEPOTS

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The ladies of the No. 4 relief depot, which is under the control of Mrs Black, deserve praise for their distribution of clothing, etc., to deserving cases not only in their' own district but to many an outsider. I reside in another district and have recently sought their assistance, receiving a much-needed suit of clothes for the small sum of one shilling, which no doubt would go towards the purchase of some urgently needed article they may not have on hand. I think the idea of making a small charge a really good one, and see no cause for objection to it if my little helps someone else in distress.—l am, etc., An Ex-serviceman. Dunedin, August 2.
