SCIENCE ATTACKS COLDS New Discovery that Kills Germs It in now known that the “ common cold”—like its big brothers, Influenza and Catarrh—is caused by germs. Yon come into contact with a sufferer—germs enter your system through the breathing passages —the warm, moist conditions of the hose, throat, and lungs provide ideal breeding grounds—the germs multiply rapidly—and you have “ caught a cold.” Obviously, then, the way to cure a cold is to kill the germs that cause the cold. Those are the lines along which chemists have been working for many years past. They have been striving to evolve an inhalant that is sufficiently powerful to destroy the germs and yet can be used with safety by adults or children. At last they have been successful. They have produced Karsote Inhalant. The actual germ-killing effect of Kar«ote on cold, influenza, and catarrhcausing germs is shown in magnified diagram below. All that one has to do to use Karsote is to shake a few drops on to a handkerchief and inhale the powerful germkilling vapours. So the Karsote Inhalant treatment has the advantage that it may be used anywhere and at any time of the day—or during the night, since it can be sprinkled on the pillow and inhaled in the sleep. Karsote is now obtainable of most chemists ind stores at 1/6 and 2/3 per bottle.
