EXHIBITION OF ANTIQUES
So great has been the patronage bestowed on the exhibition of antiques at North Taieri Church that the committee in charge has decided to keep it open each afternoon and evening until to-mor-row night. On Sunday it is hoped that the Rev. J. Lymburn, one of the early ministers of the congregation, will be able lo conduct the services. Last evening the concert portion was much enjoyed, those contributing, in addition to the choir, being Miss Hazel Miller, the Rev. Mr Sansom, and Miss Wright. Mr Robin Smellie was accompanist. Mr Graham Pugh repeated his impersonation of the early settler, an item that had been very successful on the opening night. The address was given by Mr D. M'Quilkan, of Whare Flat. While many items amongst the exhibits claimed attention, particular interest was centred in a table made by Mr Wright, Woodside. In it there are 200 d pieces of wood, and it took four* years to complete the work. It. is a wonderful specimen of inlaid work. Yesterday afternoon the ladies, who are appearing in the costumes of tha Victorian period, paraded through the Mosgiel Woollen Mills to advertise th« display at North Taieri.
