The threatening attitude of tne upper Mohmands towards the loyal Halimzai tribe continues, and developments are being carefully watched. The upper Mohmands have appealed for assistance from the other Mohmand tribes. Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner for Peshawar attended a satisfactory jirga of the lower Mohmands on Sunday at Shabkadad, when the Government was thanked for its promised help, and was informed that British Indian troops would be welcomed in their territory. VILLAGE BOMBED BY PLANES. CALCUTTA, August 1. Air Force planes this morning bombed Kotkai, a village near the frontier, but it is not yet known what damage was done. If the punishment is insufficient more bombing will be done this evening.
