A Manchester poet office worker has made for himself a set of teeth from an old billiard ball, bought for 2s. _ Mr Charles Talman, meteorologist to the United States weather bureau, estimates that 3,000,000,000 meteors of various size enter the earth’s atmosphere every 24 hours. Most of them are no bigger than a grain of sand, and are destroyed by the friction of the air be for# reaching the earth.
