OSWALD DEFEATS CLARK. (Per United Press Association.) ASHBURTON, August 2. In their first match in the Dominion Oswald (14.0) met Jack Clark (14.01) last evening, the contest ending abruptly in the fifth round. In the third round Clark obtained a fall with a dump and body press. In the fifth Oswald countered with a hcadlock and Clark struck the floor with his head, 1 being unconscious for two or three minutes. Oswald was declared the winner. VARGA AND OSWALD DRAW. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 2. A professional wrestling bout between Joseph Varga and Hank Oswald to-night ended in a draw. Oswald secured the first fall in the fifth round with a body scissors and arm bar after a series of flying tackles. Varga evened in the seventh round, throwing Oswald with a side head lock and pinning him with a body press.
