“BRIMSTONE AND TREACLE”
Variety is the keynote of the revue, t “Brimstone and Treacle,” which will commence to-night at Ilia Majesty’s Theatre. “On Dartmoor ” will be presented ‘ for the first time in Dunedin by the .Repertory Society. Mr Knight Barnett, of the Empire Theatre, will be heard in several bright piano numbers. Burlesques and novel features of all -kinds have been arranged, and "mystery seats,” which will be scattered through the theatre, are, arousing no end of curiosity. The programme booklet issued by “ Brimstone and Treacle.” is symbolical of the revue itself, reasonably priced, but full of bright wit and humour. The bos plan is open at the Bristol, and is filling rapidly. It is expected that the funds, which are to be handed over to the_ Mayor’s Unemployment Relief Fund, will be substantial, especially as Mr John Hamer has kindly let the theatre to the “ Brimstone and Treacle ” company free of charge.
