LOCAL ACTIVITIES ST. KILDA DEPOT The Mayor of St. Kilda (Mr .1. Beattie) wishes to thank the commercial travellers for the successful result of their drive, and also the residents of St. Kilda, who so heartily responded with donations of clothes, boot.j and goods;. From 10 till 11.30 this morning the depot will be open to the unemployed for the sale of jam at 3d per bottle. Goods aud vegetables will be free. One bottle of jam* will be given to each person. This evening, between 6.30 and 7.30, there will be a free distribution of men's clothing to the unemployed of St. Kilda. Ladies' clothing and shoes will be distributed later in the week when the depot has been cleared of the men's clothing. Applicants for relief are requested to bring their own wrappers and bags.
