FIRE INSURANCE PREMIUMS
A REDUCTION ANNOUNCED Substantial reductions in fire insurance premiums are announced by the State Fire Office and other companies tradingin New Zealand. In addition to the present rebate of 12 J per cent, there will be a special rebate of 12J per cent, on dwellings in areas having efficient fire protection, and 7J per * cent, in other areas, except in parts of the South Island, where there will he a flat rate reduction. The reductions operate for 12 month* from September 1.
