“THE GLORIOUS FOURTH”
CELEBRATIONS IN AMERICA OVER ONE HUNDRED KILLED. NEW YORK, July 4. (Received July 5, at 9.30 p.m.) One hundred and forty-four men, women and children were killed in tbo fourth of July celebrations on The oicasion of the 157th anniversary of the birth of the republic, and thousands were injured. Sixty-two people were killed in motor car accidents, 46 were drowned, and six were killed by fireworks.
