THE CECILIA CHOIR

On Saturday evening in Begg’s Concert Chamber, Miss Meda Paine will present her ladies’ choir in a recital of modern British part songs. Several very beautiful works by Elgar, Gibbs, Bridge, Ethel Smyth, Markham Lee, etc., will be given, and a three-part song specially written for the choir by Miss Mary Martin, Dunedin. In four of these choir numbers the singers will have the assistance of Miss Ada Sinclair and Miss Bessie Paine, violinists. Some of the well known students from the ranks of the choir will sing modern songs, and many of these will bo heard for the first time here.
