NO WISH TO MARRY
BROODED OVER ENGAGEMENT MAN FOUND HANGING. ■' (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 4. An inquest was opened to-day on the body of .Tames Taylor Robertson, aged 40, a single man, who was found hanging from a tree in a section next his parents' home. The father said his son was employed as a railway engine driver at Greymouth. He came home on June 29, seemed worried, and said a woman in Greymouth was infatuated with him and wanted to marry him. He did not wish to marry\ her, but could not " throw her off" because of insufficient will power. Ho brooded and then became hysterical, and a doctor was called in. Yesterday afternoon he received a telegram from the woman, and afterwards brightened up. Witness, at his son's request, left th» house to send a reply to the telegram, and that was the last time witness saw him alive. ; The inquest was adjourned. ;
