RUGBY FOOTBALL
SOUTH TUAPEKA SUB-UNION.' At a meeting of the South Tuapeka Rugby Sub-union held in Lawrence on Saturday evening the president (Dr W. Sutherland) was in the chair. The Taieri Plains Sub-union wrote accepting July 15 as the date for the subunion fixture to be played at Henley. Mr D. Jones (Beaumont) was appointed manager of the team. The following transfers were approved:—R. Simpson, to Beaumont; R. Evans, Hyde to Beaumont; D. Dyer, Waikiwi to Beaumont: A. Miller. Pirates (Dunedin) to Beaumont; T. Beilaney, Clutha Valley to Tuapeka Mouth; N. Rae, Port Chalmers to Lawrence; W. J. Cavanaeh, Waitahuna to Lawrence; A. Dale, Pirates (Invercargill) to Lawrence; F. J. and L. Gray, Dunedin to Lawrence. Oh the motion of Mr Batchelor it was decided to accept September 2 as the date for the sub-union match with Tuapeka, to be played at Lawrence. The following fixtures were arranged:— July 8. —Tuapeka Mouth v. Lawrence, at Tuapeka Mouth; Beaumont v. Waitahuna. at Beaumont. July 15.—Taieri Plains v. South Tuapeka. at Henley. July 22. —Lawrence v. Beaumont, at Lawrence: Waitahuna v. Tuapeka Mouth. at Waitahuna.
July 29. —Tuapeka Mouth v. Beaumont, at Tuapeka Mouth; Lawrence v. Waita-, huna, at Lawrence.
