REASON FOR RECALL THE WEATHER TOO BAD. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 29. (Received June 30<at 5.5 p.m.) General Bruce, the chairman of the committee which decided to recall the Everest expedition, stated that the weather had been so.bad that there would be little chance of the expedition being successful. “ That does not mean that we have given up hope of finally getting there,” he said. “ The struggle still goes on, but eo far the mountain has won against man and his machine.” It was not possible yet to say when, a new start would be made as it was always a question of weather 'with Everest, but next time they might get a better season.
