BENEFIT CONCERT
Signor Giovanni Stella, who will present a concert in the Town Hail next Saturday in aid of St. Martin’s Church, North-East Valley, is himself an artist of note, and no stranger to the musical community. Born in Florence, he commenced his musical career in Milan, studying in that city under Leoni and Liimperti, and later in Buenos Aires under Rinaldi, the tutor of the famous Apollo Granforte. Signor Stella made his debut at the Theatre Doria in Buenos Aires, and then fulfilled highly important operatic engagements at the Theatre Solis, in Montevideo, and at the Theatre Guarany, in Brazil. A brilliant musical career followed in the principal theatres in Latin America, .Spain, France, and Italy, and. in concert performances in South Africa and Australia. Signor Stella’s -willingness to extend a helping hand is greatly appreciated by the congregation of St. Martin’s Church. STgnor Stella will sing.” Oh..
