Two rows of small tombstones at Broad Green, Liverpool, mark the burial ground of about 400 pete, including a canary and a monkey. Some of the graves arc mere grassy mounds, others have costly tablets. One tablet which commemorates a nine-year-old Airedale cost 110 10s.
