Gold and silver is said to have fallen from the clouds recently in Los Angeles. A windstorm, sweeping in from the desert, deposited more than a million tons of dust on the city, the city engineer’s office estimated from samples taken. A veteran assaycr of the city swept tip some of the dust and tested it in his laboratory. ITis laboratory test showed minute particles of gold 'and silver.
